In the seven years since Flylow has been in business, there have been some big moments: the first T-shirt, the first time seeing a stranger on the lift wearing the pants, the first review in Powder and Outside magazines, the first big Flylow party at the ski industry trade show, the first Flylow athlete on a podium. This little ski clothing company was started by Dan and Greg, two friends from college and both passionate ski bums, and they're proud every time someone recognizes their product and chooses their brand over the countless other options out there.
But today is an especially big day for this little company that got its start with a conversation on a chairlift between a couple of twenty-something guys. Today, Flylow (and specifically its co-owner Dan Abrams) is on the cover of Inc Magazine's October issue with the headline, "How to Launch Your Dream Company." Dan went to New York City in July for the photo shoot for the Inc magazine cover, which he shares with an ice cream entrepreneur, a storage company owner, and a raw dog food inventor.
Inside the issue, Dan says, "I could build a $1 million company or ski 100 days a year. I choose to do both and have it all."
Go pick up a copy of Inc and read the rest of the story about how Flylow Gear became what it is today (and check out a photo of Dan skiing a backcountry pillow line at Colorado's East Vail Chutes.)
