It's summertime, which means it's time to load up the truck or camper or bikes and head outside. Flylow athletes Michele Manning and Jamie Callister are living the dream in central Washington thanks to their trusty RV, pictured here with Jamie. They've been parking alongside the river or camping in their friends' backyards. But these girls don't just sit around. They're on a mission to climb and ski many of the major volcanoes in the Pacific Northwest, which they started in April. Check out more about their volcano tour here. So far they've summitted Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Adams, Mt. Hood, Mt. Baker, and Mt. Rainier.
"From the top of Old Snowy Mountain in the Goat Rocks Wilderness, you can see up to six volcanoes on a clear day," writes Michele, who spends her winters ski patrolling at Alta, Utah, and has competed on the Freeskiing World Tour. "Standing on top in the sun, Jamie and I had a thought. What if we climbed and skied all of those beautiful mountains? We looked at each other with a glimmer in our eyes and made it a goal."
